ViaBill
ViaBill lets your customers split their payment into installments without you having to provide a guarantee or wait for the money. You receive the full amount immediately, and ViaBill handles the credit check and billing for the customer.
Here's how it works
ViaBill isn’t a standalone payment gateway in Shoporama. It runs on top of the gateway you’re already using and consists of two parts: a payment method at checkout and a small price tag on the product page that shows the customer the monthly cost of the item.
The price tag on the product page
If you’re using one of Shoporama’s newer themes, such as Delaware, you can enable ViaBill in the theme settings. Simply check the “Enable ViaBill” box and enter your ViaBill Shop ID. The price tag will then automatically appear on the product pages, and you won’t need to touch a single line of code.
If you have an older or custom-built theme, you’ll instead need to insert the ViaBill script and a single div on the product page. We recommend that the script be placed only on the product page. That way, it won’t unnecessarily slow down the homepage, category pages, and checkout.
ViaBill as a Payment Method
How you enable the payment itself depends on your gateway:
- QuickPay and PensoPay — add ViaBill to the “Payment Methods” field in the gateway, and enable ViaBill under “Acquirers” in QuickPay using your API key.
- ePay — set up a payment gateway as you would for your other ePay configurations, and select ViaBill from the “Payment Type” dropdown menu. You do not need to do anything within ePay.

Why offer installment payments?
Installment payments shift the conversation from “Can I afford 4,000 kr. today?” to “Can I afford a few hundred kroner a month?” This is especially relevant for higher-priced items such as furniture, bicycles, electronics, and designer products, where the price is often the factor that prevents a sale. The price tag makes the difference visible right on the product page—before the customer even adds the item to their cart.
ViaBill is one of several “buy now, pay later” options on the Danish market. Shoporama also supports Klarna and Anyday through the same payment gateways, so you can offer multiple options side by side.
