Sell downloadable products

You can sell digital products in Shoporama, such as e-books, software, music or graphic files. The customer automatically gets access to the download after purchase.

How to create a downloadable product

  1. Create a new product as usual
  2. Under Files, upload the file you want the customer to download
  3. Mark the file as a downloadable product
  4. Click Save

Customer experience

Once the customer has paid:

  • The customer receives a download link in the order confirmation
  • The link is time-limited to protect against unauthorized sharing
  • The customer can also download the file from their order history

Shipping

For digital-only products, you can create a shipping option with a price of €0 (e.g. "Digital delivery") so the customer does not pay shipping for downloads.

Supported file formats

  • PDF - e-books, manuals, documents
  • ZIP - software, graphics, collections
  • MP3/MP4 - music, video
  • Other formats - all file types can be uploaded

Tip to use

See also attach PDF to products for files that need to be available before purchase (product sheets, specifications, etc.).
