Two types of digital files

Shoporama supports two different types of digital files, depending on what you want to use them for:

PDF files (public)

Attach PDF files to your products as publicly available documents. These can be datasheets, manuals, sizing charts or assembly instructions. These files are available to all visitors and are a great tool to help the customer make a purchasing decision.

Digital downloads (only after purchase)

Sell digital products such as e-books, audio files, software or other files. The customer only gets access to the file after payment via a unique download link. The link is linked to the specific order, so only paying customers can download the file.

Flexible upload

You can upload files directly to Shoporama or specify an external URL where the file is located. This gives you full flexibility in terms of where you store your files.

Secure delivery

Digital downloads are protected with order validation. This means that the download link only works for the customer who purchased the product and the file cannot be accessed without a valid order. Your digital products are protected against unauthorized sharing.

No shipping required

With digital products, you save time and money on shipping. The customer gets instant access to their purchase and you don't need to pack or ship anything. It's the most efficient way to sell knowledge products and digital content.
