Restore a deleted category

Information about restoring deleted categories in Shoporama - what is possible and what is not.

Unfortunately, a deleted category cannot be restored in Shoporama. When a category is deleted, it is permanently removed from the system.

What can you do?

  • Recreate the category — You can create a new category with the same name and settings.
  • Reassign products — Products that were in the deleted category must be reassigned to the new category manually or via CSV import.

Prevent losing categories

Be careful with the delete button, and consider backing up your categories via CSV export under Products → Categories → Export.
