GLS Uniconnect types explained

When you use the GLS integration in Shoporama, you need to select a Uniconnect type for each shipping option. The Uniconnect type determines which GLS service the package is sent with.

Overview of Uniconnect types

Uniconnect type Description of the type
PARCELStandard parcel shipment to private address
PARCEL SHOPDelivery to GLS ParcelShop
EXPRESSExpress delivery with guaranteed delivery time
BUSINESSDelivery to a business address

Setting up in Shoporama

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping
  2. Edit the shipping option that uses GLS
  3. Select the correct Uniconnect type from the dropdown menu
  4. Click Save

Typical setup

Most shops have two GLS shipping options:

  • GLS ParcelShop - use Uniconnect type PARCELShop
  • GLS to the door - use Uniconnect type PARCEL
