Payment window

A payment window is the interface where the customer enters their payment details to complete a purchase in an online store.

What is a payment window?

A payment window is the interface the customer encounters when paying in a webshop. Here you enter card details or select an alternative payment method such as MobilePay, Klarna or bank transfer. The payment window is provided by the payment gateway.

Types of payment windows

  • Hosted - the customer is sent to the payment provider's site
  • Embedded - payment fields are integrated directly into the checkout
  • Overlay/popup - the payment window appears as a popup above the webshop

Shoporama supports payment windows from multiple providers, including QuickPay, Stripe, Nets/Bambora and Adyen. The payment window is automatically customized with your online store logo and colors where possible.
