CSV
What is CSV?
CSV (Comma-Separated Values) is a text-based file format where data is organized in rows and columns, separated by commas or semi-colons. CSV files can be opened in spreadsheet programs like Excel and Google Sheets.
CSV in online shops
CSV is the most widely used format for bulk import and export of data in online stores:
- Import products with prices, descriptions and images
- Export orders for accounting or analysis
- Update inventory and prices in bulk
- Export customer lists for newsletters
In Shoporama, you can use CSV files to import and export products, orders, and customer data. Note that Shoporama uses semicolons as separators and UTF-8 as character encoding.
