Cache in Shoporama
Answers to frequently asked questions about caching in Shoporama - how often it is built and when changes take effect.
Shoporama uses cache to make your online store faster. Here are answers to the most common questions about caching.
How often is the cache built?
The classic cache is built once a day. This means that changes to products, categories, etc. are typically visible on your online shop within 24 hours.
Can I reset the cache manually?
Yes, you can. Go to Settings (the gear in the top right corner) and click Save and reset cache. This will force a new cache build.
Block cache
In addition to the classic cache, Shoporama also has a block cache, which is controlled by your theme developer. Block caching can be set on specific parts of your theme with an individual lifespan.
Cache on custom feeds
If you build your own feed from a landing page, it will be built every 40 minutes on the hour (10:40, 11:40, 12:40, etc.).
When do changes take effect?
- Product texts and prices - Next cache build (within 24 hours, or immediately on reset)
- Images - Visible immediately
- Theme changes - Visible immediately (Smarty recompiles automatically)
- Custom feeds - Updated every hour
