CDN
What is a CDN?
A CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a geographically distributed network of servers that cache and deliver web content - typically images, CSS, JavaScript and video - from the server physically closest to the user. This significantly reduces load times.
Benefits of CDN
- Faster loading of images and files
- Better user experience and lower bounce rate
- Relieves the load on the main server
- Better SEO - Google rewards fast pages
For online stores, CDN is especially important because product images often make up the majority of a page's data volume. With a CDN, images load faster no matter where the customer is located.
