Starting June 19, 2026, the Consumer Contracts Act will be tightened, requiring Danish online stores to offer a digital cancellation feature. Consumers must be able to cancel their online purchases via a clear and easily accessible feature, not just via email or a paper form. The rule stems from EU Directive 2023/2673 and takes effect on the same date throughout the EU.
What does the new law require?

- A confirmation sent to the customer on a durable medium, typically email.
- Cancellation must be at least as easy as making a purchase.
