Volume discounts are one of the most effective ways to increase your average order. When customers can see that they save money by buying more, there's a natural incentive to add more to their basket.
In Shoporama, you can set up volume discounts directly on each product - quickly and effortlessly.
Two types of discounts
Simple volume discount
The simple model: Buy at least X quantity and get a fixed discount per unit. For example: "Buy 3 or more and save 10 kr. per unit." It's easy for the customer to understand and easy for you to set up.
Staircase discount
With staircase discounts, you create multiple discount levels so that the discount increases with the quantity:
- 10-29 pcs: save 4 kr. per piece.
- 30-49 pieces: save 5 kr. per piece.
- 50+ pieces: save DKK 8 per piece.
Stepped discounts are especially relevant for B2B customers and stores selling consumer goods where it makes sense to buy in larger quantities.
Variant-specific prices
The staircase discount also supports variant-specific prices per step. This means that you can set different prices depending on the product variant - e.g. size or color - on each discount step.
Visible to the customer
Volume discounts are automatically displayed on the product page, typically as a price table that clearly shows the savings at each step. This creates transparency and motivates the customer to buy more.
