Create volume discounts on products
Guide to creating volume discounts on products in Shoporama.
Volume discounts give customers a discount when they buy a certain number of products together. Unlike a stepped discount, all products in the basket are counted together.
How to set up volume discounts
- Go to Marketing → Discounts
- Click Create volume discount
- Enter the quantity and discount percentage for each tier
- Optionally select which categories the discount applies to
- Click Save
Example: Example
- Buy 3 products - get 10% off
- Buy 5 products - get 15% off
- Buy 10 products - get 20% off
Difference from other discount types
- Volume discount - discount based on the total number of products in the cart
- Staircase discount - discount based on quantity of one specific product
- Discount code - discount activated with a code
Discount tip
Volume discounts are particularly effective for shops with many similar products where you want to encourage larger purchases.
