Comply with legal requirements with environmental data
EU legislation places increasing demands on manufacturers and importers to record and report environmental data for their products. With Shoporama's built-in environmental data module, you can record all relevant environmental information directly on each product - and export it together for EPR reporting.
Packaging registration
Record the packaging weight per product broken down by material type:
- Paper/cardboard - Cardboard boxes, leaflets, cardboard filling material
- Plastic - Plastic bags, bubble wrap, shrink wrap
- Metal - Metal packaging, cans, aluminum foil
- Glass - Glass bottles, glass packaging
- Wood - Wooden boxes, pallets
- Other material - Textile, composite materials etc.
All weights are in grams per unit, making it easy to calculate the total packaging volume based on your sales.
Electronics (WEEE)
Do you sell electronics? Register WEEE data directly on the product:
- Weight of electronic device (without battery) in grams
- WEEE category - choose from official categories such as IT equipment, household appliances, lighting equipment, toys and more.
Batteries
Do your products contain batteries? Register battery data with the following fields:
- Battery weight in grams (total per product)
- Battery type - Lithium-ion, Lithium-polymer, NiMH, Alkaline, button cell, etc.
- Integrated or removable - Indicate if the battery can be removed by the end user
EPR registration and export
You can register your manufacturer/EPR registration number (from e.g. Emballageretur, Elretur or Batteriretur) directly on the product. In addition, you can add internal notes about the data source or special remarks.
When reporting, you can export a summarized environmental data file based on your orders. Select a period or order number range and Shoporama will generate a CSV file with all relevant environmental data.
Import and bulk update
Do you have a lot of products? Environmental data can also be handled via import, so you can update environmental data for your entire range at once. The fields are included in the product export so you can edit in a spreadsheet and import back.
Get started
- Open a product in admin and find the section Environment etc.
- Enable environmental data with the checkbox
- Fill in the relevant fields for packaging, electronics and/or batteries
- Save the product
- Use Orders → Export environmental data to generate summary reports
