DMARC
What is DMARC?
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) is a DNS-based standard that tells the recipient's mail server what to do with emails that fail SPF or DKIM checks. DMARC protects your domain from being abused for spam or phishing.
Why is DMARC important?
- Prevents others from sending emails that look like they come from your domain
- Improves the delivery rate of your legitimate emails
- Provides reports on who is trying to send emails from your domain
DMARC is set up as a DNS TXT record and works together with SPF and DKIM. The three standards together provide the best protection for your email identity.
