GPSR
What is the GPSR?
GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) is EU Regulation 2023/988, which took effect in December 2024. The regulation requires that all products sold to consumers in the EU have clear safety information, including the name and contact information of the manufacturer and the authorized representative in the EU.
GPSR Requirements for Online Stores
As an online store owner, you must ensure that the following information is available for each product:
- The manufacturer’s name and address
- Contact details of the authorized representative in the EU
- Warnings and safety information
- Product identification (image, barcode)
In Shoporama, you can create Safety Profiles containing manufacturer data and safety information, and assign them to products. The information is automatically displayed on the product page.
