What is a B2B online store?
A B2B online store sells to businesses rather than individuals. Business customers have different needs than consumers: they want to see prices excluding sales tax, have their own negotiated prices, buy in bulk, pay by invoice, and often have multiple buyers on the same account. A good B2B solution must be able to handle all of this without making day-to-day operations difficult for either the customer or the store.
Shoporama is now a full-fledged B2B platform
Previously, Shoporama was primarily a B2C platform. That is no longer the case. Shoporama now has built-in B2B functionality, so you can run a purely business-to-business store or combine B2B and B2C in the same shop. Below, we’ll walk you through the most important features.
Login-based store with prices excluding VAT
With the B2B theme, you can make the store login-based: only logged-in customers see the product selection and prices, while guests are directed to a login page. This is ideal when prices and products should only be visible to authorized resellers. Prices are displayed excluding VAT, as business customers expect, and a VAT toggle allows customers to switch between prices excluding and including VAT with a single click.
Customer Groups with Their Own Prices
Divide your customers into customer groups—for example, “Reseller,” “Gold Customer,” or “Major Customer”—and assign each group its own prices:

- General discount per group —for example, 15 percent for all resellers.
- Fixed special prices per product —an agreed-upon price for selected items that takes precedence over the general discount.
- Volume discounts (tiered pricing) —decreasing price per unit, for example, 100 kr. for 1 item and 90 kr. for 50 items. The correct tiered price is selected automatically.
- Brand access per group — control which brands a group can view and purchase. Items from brands the group does not have access to are hidden and cannot be added to the cart.
Company accounts with multiple users and roles
A business customer is rarely just one person. With company accounts, multiple employees can be associated with the same company, each with their own role (company administrator or member). The company administrator can add colleagues, manage roles, and even log in as an employee to provide assistance. The company’s identity (CVR, EAN, address) and prices are automatically applied to members, ensuring everyone purchases under the correct terms.

VIES-validated reverse charge
If you sell to other EU countries, VAT is automatically handled correctly. When a customer provides a valid VAT number, it is validated against the EU’s VIES database, and the transaction is processed excluding VAT (reverse charge). VAT is only excluded for a confirmed number, so you’ll never be liable for VAT on an invalid VAT number.
Quick Reorder
Business customers often reorder the same items. With quick ordering, customers can search for items by SKU, EAN, or name, add multiple items to the cart at once, upload a file with item codes and quantities, or reorder directly from a previous order. Each order confirmation can even include a reorder file, so the next purchase takes just seconds.
Invoice Purchases and Minimum Order Value
Offer payment by invoice to your business customers. The invoice is automatically generated as a PDF and attached to the order email. You can also set a minimum order value—either per store or per customer group—so that small orders don’t unnecessarily strain inventory.

Is Shoporama the right choice for your B2B business?
Yes, if you: sell to businesses, want a closed reseller store, need customer-specific prices and volume discounts, or want to combine B2B and B2C in the same store.
