Product variant

A product variant is a variation of a product, for example in a different size, color or material that shares the same product page.

What is a product variant?

A product variant is a specific version of a product that differs in one or more characteristics, such as size, color, material or quantity. Variants typically share the same product page and description, but may have different prices, stock and item numbers.

Variants in Shoporama

In Shoporama, you can create variants on products with multiple dimensions (e.g. size AND color). Each variant can have:

  • Own price and offer price
  • Own stock level
  • Your own item number (SKU) and EAN code
  • Your own image
  • Own weight (for shipping calculation)

Variants appear as options on the product page, typically as dropdown menus or color picker, depending on your theme.
