PSP - Payment Service Provider

A PSP (Payment Service Provider) is a provider that handles online payments and connects your webshop with banks and card networks.

What is a PSP?

A PSP (Payment Service Provider), also known as a payment gateway, is a service that handles online payments for webshops. The PSP acts as an intermediary between your webshop, the customer's bank and the card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

PSPs in Denmark

The most popular PSPs for Danish webshops are:

  • QuickPay - Danish PSP with broad card support
  • Stripe - international PSP with easy integration
  • Nets/Bambora - large Nordic payment provider
  • Adyen - enterprise solution for larger webshops

Shoporama has integrations with several PSPs, so you can choose the solution that best suits your business. Many PSPs also support MobilePay, Klarna and other alternative payment methods.
