Facebook Conversions API
Guide to setting up the Facebook Conversions API on your Shoporama online store via the built-in tracking engine.
Facebook Conversion's API sends server-side data to Facebook for better tracking accuracy. Shoporama has it built into its tracking engine.
Prerequisites
- A Facebook Business Manager account
- A Facebook Pixel created in Business Manager
- A Conversions API access token from Facebook
Setup in Shoporama
- Click the gear in the top right corner of your admin
- Go to Tracking
- Find the Facebook section
- Insert your Pixel ID
- Insert your Conversions API access token
- Click Save
What is tracked?
Shoporama automatically sends the following events to Facebook via the Conversions API:
- PageView - when a page is viewed
- ViewContent - when a product is viewed
- AddToCart - when a product is added to the cart
- InitiateCheckout - when checkout is initiated
- Purchase - when an order is completed
Benefits of the Conversions API
- Better data - not affected by adblockers or iOS limitations
- Deduplication - Shoporama automatically handles deduplication between browser pixel and server events
- Better ad optimization - more accurate data for better Facebook Ads performance
Tip for optimization
Use both Pixel (browser) and Conversions API (server) for maximum data quality. Shoporama handles the deduplication automatically.
